Single-Stream Recycling:

Recycling and Disposal Solutions (RDS) of Virginia

RDS of Virginia uses AMP Cortex intelligent robotics systems to sort PET, HDPE, plastic film, cups, and metals at one of its Roanoke facilities. The company stabilized its workforce and captured more high-value material with AI and automation. Read our case study for more details.

Plastic Recyclers: Evergreen

Evergreen, one of the nation's leading plastics reclaimers, uses AMP Cortex intelligent robotics systems to sort green and clear PET bottles. With AMP’s AI-guided robots, Evergreen has increased purity and consistency and doubled its PET recovery rate at its Ohio facility, generating more high-quality recycled plastics to meet its bottle-to-bottle recycling goals.

Single-Stream Recycling: Single Stream Recyclers, INC.

Single Stream Recyclers (SSR), a Balcones Resources company, operates 14 AMP Cortex intelligent robotics systems—six single systems and four dual-robot systems—at its 100,000-square-foot facility in Sarasota, Florida. SSR’s materials recovery facility (MRF) is designed to process up to 50 tons of recyclables per hour collected from residential and commercial sources.

Single-Stream Recycling: Waste Connections

Waste Connections installed AMP Cortex intelligent robotics systems in several MRFs across the country on its fiber, container, and residue lines. Waste360 takes a closer look at the positive impact AMP’s technology has had on the company’s results, and the partnership’s impact on Waste Connections’ continued growth and success.

DUAL-Stream Recycling: Emmet County

Located in the northern tip of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, Emmet County is largely rural, with a population of roughly 30,000 people. The county’s Department of Public Works, established in the late 1970s, operates cost-effective, self-funded facilities offering comprehensive recycling, resource recovery, and solid waste transfer services. In 2020, the Emmet County MRF processed and marketed about 8,000 tons of material for recycling.
